The economic impact of restorative justice

The article analyses the economic impact of restorative justice compared to the traditional penal system. It highlights that, despite the initial costs of implementation, restorative justice can generate significant savings in the long term by reducing recidivism and the costs associated with incarceration. In addition, it focuses on the restoration of relationships and the reintegration of offenders, promoting a more equitable and effective justice system. The need to integrate this approach into public policies is underlined to build more just and resilient communities.
